Setup + BCF control not is not working

hey guys

i read a lot here for installing and setting up freestyler in our small church. first off all, my written english is horrible - so i am sorry for that!

i am not sure if i set this up correctly - what do you think?

this is our fs screen:

so at the top there a from left to right:
1000 fresnel, led par, 1000 fresnel, led par, 1000 fresnel, led par
in the middle: led par
on the floor: three led pars each side

i dont know if my set up in fs is correct, but right now we are using sequences in the cue-window and trigger them using the play button, after clicking the play-button again my light turn off (restore value feature).

so we have some seqs with the fresnels and leds mixed, and as a kind of wall washer some seqs with different colors from the leds at the bottom for the wall.

when we only use fs it is easy just clicking the play button of the seq i wanna run.
is there a way to dim a group of lights (the best would be fresnel and leds together) with a fader of the bcf?

i hope you guys understand what i am trying to say.

hope someone can help me. please let me know how we can improve the work with fs and especially with the bought bcf.

every stage looks differnt so if your happy i'm also happy

But i would look at the Submaster.
because the Submaster and bcf2000 are a realy nice match.

with the submasters you can set the Brightness of a Groups of lights you programmed on a Sequence.

how can i use these submasters ... i tried to understand the wiki but i was not very succesful...

am i also able to mix par cans and leds (in a submaster) and can still controll the brightness? e.g. the dimmer?

oke

First create all the Sequences.
Then add all the sequence to the CUE window you like to have on ONE submaster.
Now if you added all the sequence to the CUE window you create a CUE file.
Now open the submasters and add the CUE file to a Submaster.

The normal way to use the Submaster is to add ONE atribute from a light to ONE submaster.
Normal you add your Frontlight on ONE submaster, the RGB sequence to a Other submaster and the Dimmer from the LEDPAR if they have a Separte dimmer to a Other submaster.

But you can also add a Mixed sequence to the submaster.

just take a look from there its all try and error.

Ok, this is a bad photo of our cue list...

e.g. the "FLUTER MOD" seq uses only two fresnels...
the "LED Worhip Band Fluter" uses the 2 fresnels and 3 leds...

i found out how i can set seqs and put them into a submaster - but how can i set my dimmer on my fresnel and the led dimmer to one fader on the bcf?

i read about how to set submasters here.

please correct me, but in my case i understand the following (and this works, but only for my fresnels):
- creating new seq
- clicking on my fresnel
- put the only slider to 255
- open cue window
- insert this seq
- save cue as e.g. "fresnel band"
- put this in submaster 1
- define in settings that fader 1 is submaster 1 intesity
this works

but

when i make a seq that says e.g. "led dimmer" and "led color" - only the color and dimmer channel is effeted in each seq - and i put these 2 in 2 sm, i am not able to set the dimmer to 255 und change the color by sliding the fader on my bcf. it doesnt work without the bcf either.

how can i add a led? i am not sure if i understand how to define that the submaster x intensity influences the dimmer channel on my led!?

do you know what i mean?

hi

your example with the fressnell looks ok.
But about the ledpar i'm not sure because i do not know which led par you have. or which channels it has.

and only Dimmer channels will work with the SMintensitie slider.
With the colors its just the Color sequence you made will be played back. (allmost the same as the cue window)

only with the Submaster you need to add all the Atributes to a separte SM
So the Fressnells are on SM1.
then i would recommend to add the COLORS ( RGB channels) to SM2.
and the Dimmer channel from the ledpar to SM3.

but this is what i tried.

my leds have seven channels.
red, green, blue, color, shutter, effect, dimmer

what i wanted was so assign the dimmer-channel from the led to the submaster intensity and the color the same way. i thought that i am able to define a fader on my bcf to the (dimmer-)sm intensity and a knob to the (color-) sm intensity.

then i would recommend to add the COLORS ( RGB channels) to SM2.
and the Dimmer channel from the ledpar to SM3.

and this is not working.

this is what i tried. i did the same with my leds but...

So if you create a RGB Sequences you ONLY record the RGB channels.
And if you create a Intensitie Sequences you ONLY record the Intensitie channels.

this is what i've done. but the intensity slider of the submaster with the led dimmer is not effecting anything.

do you have any idea?

btw: these are my led pars. this is the manual.
