Release of Enttec USB pro after closing freestyler.

I Use the Enttec USB Pro dmx dongle with freestyler and an SM 16/2.

After i close the software, the enttec pro is not released.
Is it possible, (mabey in a selectable setting of freestyler, that it releases the Enttec usb pro DMX? (or disconnect contact with the comport it uses ?)

So that dmx true becomes active to use an old style slider panel?

I use the Enttec Pro also. FreeStyler disconnects from it the way it should. It is just the Enttec Pro that keeps on going...
As far as I'm concerned, thats the great part about it.

When starting another DMX softare package, it should be able to connect to the Enttec pro and use it as normal.

Could you explain your problem somewhat better?

My setup;

pangolin ILDA dac with dmx out >> "dmx in" enttec pro >> "dmx out" enttec pro >> fixtures.

When the led on the enttec is disabled, it relays info from DMX in to DMX out, so i don't have to switch cables.
When i use the laser software to control my dmx network, i have to "disconnect" the enttec pro.

Mabey its an option that can be included in the advanced settings of the enttec pro USB DMX. A sellection to release the controller so that it will go to relay mode.

Not really sure what or why your set is doing but the DMX in of an Enttec Pro does not work with FS.
The only dongle that has a compatable DMX In is the Martin Professional dongle.

You read me incorrect.

Thats why i want to release the usb dmx pro connection, so it relays the dmx info true.

I think I get it now.

What you need is a DMX combiner. Look at this link - http://www.thomann.de/gb/botexdmx_merge_dm2512.htm

This will allow you to use FS and a desk without needing to release the enttec unit.

I think I get what you want:

When you use FreeStyler, you want the Enttec USB DMX to output the 'FreeStyler signal', but when FreeStyler is shut down, you want to let the Enttec USB DMX relay its input to its output. Right?
And the Enttec USB DMX only relays the input to the output when the led on the Enttec is not flashing, I understand from you, right?

If both options are true, it has noting to do with FreeStyler. FreeStyler releases the assigned comport to the Enttec USB DMX pro properly. But it is the Enttec USB device itself that keeps on running on its own, it has a build in processor, so it is capable to do that, until power is lost (USB plug disconnected).

If you need to relay the input to the output, just make a simple hard switch yourself, so your Enttec get bypassed completely?
Or unplug (and replug) the USB cable quickly.

I think the best way to go is with an DMX merger, as suggested above.
Than i can give the ILDA laser dac dmx out a higher priority than the enttec.

So i have no need to switch cables at all.
