why will the freestyler 'sound to light unit' not find my external sound card a 'Maya EX7'
I was told that this would stop PC crashing, but no matter how Itry, I cannot get unit to find soundcard, it will only detect PC's internal card which, while I'm DJing is not in use?
All help welcome and greatfully so....

Re: Sound to light ???
Does windows itself see the Maya soundcard? Did you install the driver?
Can you play / record audio with it with other software?
If one or all of the above is answered by 'No' then there is a source of your problem.
Furthermore I don't see why an external soundcard would stop a PC from crashing. Seeing your other topics I'd think you have a old slow PC, or bad hardware.
