Ok I've tried what you said and it seems that I can't get it to do what I want.
Here is a link to my lighting from my website:
http://www.aaron-beachproductions.com/i ... p-lighting
So what you'll see is this, the two side cabinets are treated like a "4 single par cans" per side where each is wired in parallel. So the reds on left and right side are hard wired to fire at the same time. So they chase up and down opposite to each other using the sas404 controller to sound.
Then you see the overhead, that is treated like a 3 x 4 par can but separate from the side cabinets by using the a401 controller that chases to sound.
You may be asking why are they separate, well the simple answer is that not all jobs have the overhead there, so I could have a very simple show using just the two side cabinets, or when I bring it all out, everything is run "together". Each provides its own unique lighting output based on each controllers pattern generator and has done a great job over the years. I've decided to upgrade to use DMX for all the pars and there will be two x-move led 25r's on top of each cabinet.
So now, I need to have two seperate but parallel and automated chase scenes for each system. My goal is to have these types of choices:
Simple show:
Side cabinets with random chases, can can etc etc....fast dances
Side cabinets with dim fixed colors......slow dances
Complete show:
Side and overhead working as one show.....fast
Side and overhead working as one show.....slow
Side and overhead working as split show using simple show patterns.....fast/slow
Still a lot of creative to figure out exactly how I want it all to work, but ultimately, I want to just hit one button and the lights automatically go through all the preprogrammed scenes based on if its a simple or complete show....I have zero interest in screwing with faders or buttons or levels or anything.....it just has to work like simple toggle switches I use now to activate my mirror ball, spots, and controllers........that is the ultimate goal....
I "think" I could do it manually with a singular very long cue, but it seems difficult to try and get it right......I'd like to be able to build all the needed patterns, string them together, hit a single button and they just run until I turn them off or swap from fast or slow.
Does this make sense?
Any help would be great.....
thanks again.
