is it possible to make some extra midi keys (ch1-16) that automatically controls the fixtures i select with my mouse. It would be a lot easier to make sequences for multiple lights.
Example:
i have a bcf2000(8faders) and want to make a new sequence...
i select my par cans(6ch) => fs makes the first 6 faders of my beringer bcf control the par cans,
i deselect my par cans and select my scanners(8ch) => fs makes my 8 faders control the scanners
...
...
thx.

Re: Make Midi faders control SELECTED fixtures
It's been a while since I set everything up, but if memory serves this is what I did. Pretty sure you're limited to 10 groups at a time per MIDI page. You can use multiple pages for more fixtures. As usual, I digress...
Create groups of lights in FS. I have one light per group so I can grab control of individual fixtures. Assign a key on the BCF to switch to the page where you want the fixtures in MIDI. I use the push encoders for page assignments. Assign the groups to that page in the MIDI control config. Switch to that page on the BCF then assign lights to the buttons that you want to control the fixtures. When you push a button, it should assign the faders to the fixtures.
It's far easier to do than to explain.

Re: Make Midi faders control SELECTED fixtures
Hello, steven789
and hallo to wardoman to, it's been a couple of mounths i have seen you.
But it's not realy possible how you like to have it but you can do it like this
Midi page1: ( Controlling mh) ( i do not know which channels your moving head have so it's a example)
Fader1: intensitie channel
Fader2: Shutter channel
Fader3: Color1 channel
Fader4: Gobo1 channel
Fader5: Gobo Rot. channel
Fader6: iris channel
Fader7: pan channel
Fader8: tilt channel
(these channel only works if the fixture is selected)
Midi page2: (parcans) ( i do not kow how must parcans you like to controll but you can only make upto 24 midi to Dmx channels)
Fader1: Midi to dmx channel 1
Fader2: Midi to dmx channel 2
Fader3: Midi to dmx channel 3
Fader4: Midi to dmx channel 4
Fader5: Midi to dmx channel 5
Fader6: Midi to dmx channel 6
(these channels can only be used without selected fixtures, it depant on the dmx channel you fill in)
You can also use the "Intensity channel"to control your parcans only you can control one parcan at the time because there is only one "Intensity channel"
and you can only have 10 Groups to controll if you use the midi controls, but you'r going to use the mouse for that, so it doesn't matter.
also look at this page http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/external_commands it have some comments to most of all the External controls.

hi spirit, :d
well if it is not possible, that it may be an idea to add into a future version.
it would just be great feature to add.

Re: Make Midi faders control SELECTED fixtures
@Spirit - My band has been playing a few festivals over the summer where lighting is provided. It's been nice having someone else do all the heavy lifting. Your post got me to thinking so I had to set up my board. You are correct; 10 group limit. I haven't used the MIDI to DMX feature but that's a workable solution.
@Steven789 - If you've got a BCF2000 why do you want to use the mouse? Before I got mine it took about 3 hours to tweak the fixture positions for any given stage. Now I can do the same thing in less than an hour. Using the mouse to interact with FS is cumbersome during programming and a nightmare for live performance. Assign as many things as you can to the controller and label it. Here's a picture of my board.
