uDMX on Windows 7
Hi guys
I've been using Freestyler all year, and it's great! I have a uDMX usb to dmx converter, which works fine, and a while ago my laptop died (Windows XP) so I was using my dads for a while (Windows Vista D:) and now I've got my new one which is Windows 7, and I've installed the driver correctly (I hope) but its not working! the red LED doesnt light up... Has anyone had something similar happen? How do you get it working on Windows 7?
Cheers

Re: uDMX on Windows 7

Re: uDMX on Windows 7
I uninstalled the driver and re-installed it, and it comes up with this message...
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
I assume that's bad

Re: uDMX on Windows 7
did you download the driver? it just sounds like it hasn't downloaded properly and so you would get that message re-download it or if it was on a CD re-download a new version from there site for windows 7...

Re: uDMX on Windows 7
yes I downloaded it, however I have found a different site (in chinese) which apparently has an updated version of the same driver, so I am downloading that. Hopefully it will work! Cheers

Re: uDMX on Windows 7
UPDATE: So apparently the driver is incompatible with Win7 64-bit... I'm looking into an updated version of the driver or an emulator for a 32-bit system... hmm...

Contact this person and he should be able to give you one, Arugula!Röschi wrote:I'm running my uDMX on my Win7 64bit System! After searching the web and contacting a developer I actually found a modified driver for 64bit.
Please PM me, so I can send you the driver together with an installation manual.
