Fogger Tool with problems...

Post by Kai-Uwe »

Now it comes...how to find the english words...lets see...

We did a lot of work and so yesterday it was the first time to test the f-Version "Live" in the Club.

in the older Version (h) i have made a Fixture for my fogger and activatet "Fixture is a Fogger" to use it with the the Fogger Tool. I can make Makros for it. So i make one for Off. One for Heat and one for Full On.

It is the DMXFogger Control from DMX4ALL with one DMX-Channel.

0 = Off
15= Heat !!!!!
Above are Timers (dont need them)
255 = Fog On

Starting the Makro "Heat" (DMX level 15) and i can use the Fogger tool. It switches to 255 for Fog and releases then back to 15. So the fogger stays heatet. When i want to switch off the Fogger i use the Makro Fogger of (0)

Anything runs fine!

But now in ther f-Version something changed.
At First there is no way to make Makros in the Fixture-Creature.

Then When Setting the Fogger to Heat (15) manualy with the Slider and running the Fogger Tool, anytime when the tool sets the Fog-Level to 255 and releases it it does not come back to 15. It goes to o so the Fogger is OFF and cooles down...
so there is no way to use the Fogger-Tool.

is it a bug or did i do something wrong?

Withe the DMX4ALL-Interface you need the ability to set the Fogger to 0 8Off) and to 15 (Heat). And if you want Fog then to 255 and back to 15. To switch off to 0.

Hope you understand what i mean.

Greetings Kai-Uwe

Hi

I did make some changes, I added a min max value for each channel specially for this problem.
Edit your fogger profile in the fixture creator and fill in the min and max values.

Best regards

Hi,

i think i am blind but...

when editing my "old" Fogger Fixture-File (DMX4ALL the File is named fogger.fxt and delivered with Freestyler)) there is no place to set a min or max channel. Also the Point "Fixture is a Fogger" is no longer there. ( Remember it wasn't a special Fogger Fixture. You have to mark "Fixture is a Fogger".)

When creating a new Fixture there is also no min or max channel to set in the Creator. All i can do is to set the Fan and the level Channel and the Number of Channels.
The description of the Fan Channel ist not absolutly clear (signed with "Fog / level ch.") so i tried out 1 (For the assigned Fog-Channel) and later 1 / 15 (For the assigned Fog-Channel an min. level). But i also did not work.

Yust for your Info: I have switched to the i-Version with the 3.96 Fixture creator.

At this time i have "helped" me with my old original Fogger-Fixture. When i need the fogger i set the level to 15 manually in the Slider. So the fogger heats up. Than i can use the Fogger tool without problems. Then it dont "jump" back to 0 and switches the Fogger of. It only jumps back to 15 and the fogger stays heatet and ready. To swich them of i have to manually set the Slider to 0.

Oh good my bad english. But i hope you understand what i mean.

Greatings Kai-Uwe
