Good afternoon, I'm reading and rereading dozens of posts on the use of submasters, but I'm still not very clear on their function and what the advantages of using them might be.
Is there anyone who has the patience to explain to me, perhaps with some examples? A thousand thanks !!!

Re: cuelist submaster
Oh boy, I have used just cue lists and just submasters. With submaster I feel like it allows you to have a more dynamic show, and change things up at the last minute. For me like doing a live band show and not knowing the set list. you can have say your main wash lights in a submaster with a variety of diferent colors to change to for simplicity a submaster that contains clue lists of main wash lights one just red, one blue, one white. and you can have your say movers in another submaster, with different cluelists that contain, movers in a pattern with white, a pattern with red, a still pattern on center stage, a blue pattern. you can then say keep your wash lights on white and change the movers color easily. with submasters you can also dim groups of lights, so you can dim your movers in and out as the wash lights stay the same.
Hope that helps.
