Manual control of movingheads

Post by DutchDD »

Hi al..

My setup:
Lenovo T520 Laptop (dedicated Light control use)
Entec open DMX
Freestyler 3.6.2
Behringer BCF 2000 (and planning a USB Joystick of some kind)
Futurelight DMH-40 movinghead

I created a Fixture file for the DMH-40 witch works like a treat! (will upload in the near future)
I can controll the fixture on screen of my laptop.. all fine..
I even created custum Sliders in my fixture file.

What I want to do now is be able to manual control the head from my BCF2000
I see several entry's refering to a movinghead (pan tilt and so on) But when I assign a Fader to such a function it does not work.

Same thing with my smoke mashine...there are standard smoke mashine conytrols but I can not assing the DMX channel from the smoke maschine to it.
My solution there was to create a one step show with an override button assigend.

I can see that solution work for the movinghead... a specialy If I have several of them with I want to work simultanious and inverted.

In Setup /Controller I also see the DMX Channel option per function but i am not able to change it

Do I need to use DMX400 for this?
Please help me out... Although I still have time I really need to get this running in my mobile setup.

Thank you guys for helping me out
