Using Override buttons to run chases

I am trying to use the Override buttons to run everything, so I can easily map it to a midi keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen 49 fyi).
I have read that you can't do this, which is a mighty shame. So how can I get it so that I have the same control effect (30 midi keys for buttons 1-30, and 6 to change pages)?
