All this looks very cool, but I dont really know what telnet is, how to set it up or really what is involved so id like to propose a thread probably starting from the stand point that the user (me) doesnt really know what telnet is... something with a format like:
1. Software and Hardware Requirements
a)FreeStyler
b)PDA (windows mobile platform required?)
c)etc...
2. Setting up of the Telnet server
a) what is telnet and how is it implemented?
b) what information is needed to make the interface work? Ip addresses and port numbers and how can they be found out?
c)how does the PDA communicate with the computer? (bluetooth? internet?)
i)how is bluetooth connection setup?
ii)how is the internet connection setup?
d)how is Freestyler configured?
3. Use and trouble shooting
a) what commands can be used? and what is thier format?
b) what controls have an interface? colour? pan? tilt?
c) can I select individual fixtures or must all be controlled at the same time?
d) can I use cues and sequences and how?
anyways, nice work. as soon as my HTC is fixed ill certainly be joining in the fun.

I wasnt asking for anybody to turn around and write it for me, anybody that can venure any useful information like example basic information, requirements or even setups that you have managed to make work yourself.
My understanding so far is that
Telnet is a text based command protocall...
Other then that, I dont know. As/If people add information I shall watch the thread and tidy the entire thing up into one post.
