I've done a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I've used Freestyler before, but gave up several years ago, as external control is a requirement.
This is for a band.
Here is the current setup....
Elation Show Designer 2
- each song has a set of scenes that control lighting looks
- each song is setup as a page on the SD2
- our lighting guy selects the page (which corresponds to the song) and fires off scene 1, then 2, then scene 3, and may go back to scene 2 or other scene.
- each scene button press snaps to the new scene and does not stack the previous scene
I want this same process by using Freestyler (or any DMX software for that matter). What external control do I need, and how do I go from page to page (song to song), and then select scenes?
Thanks for any input - I'd really like to make this work. ...but the SD2 is SO each to operate in a live band situation.
Freestyler - External Control Topic is solved

Re: Freestyler - External Control
Yes Freestyler can do what you want and if it cannot by itself the addon program called FS Go Monkey can. You can use any midi controller to fire sequences or even your cell phone or tablet. It is all very well documented on the forum and can be found using the "search"
