FreeStyler has been updated to version 3.5.5 (31/10/2013)
I have just updated the version history on the wiki.
Could a moderator please make this a sticky thread and remove the previous (3.5.4) thread?
I think it's a good idea to have one 'general' thread for every new release.
Installation: If you have an old version, you can run setup.exe and it will install the new version without overwriting your own settings and files, I believe.
(As before) I have added some detail as far as I understand the release notes. Could people who know more please add more detail to this (here, and I'll edit the wiki, if you like)?
New Features
* All 96 cuelists can be placed on the touchscreen
Improvements:
* Small improvements
* Improved the Tap Sync LED - the blue light now flashes in time with the tempo like most normal metronome lights.
* Sequence and fade timing
Bugs fixes:
* MIDI feedback fixed - this was not properly providing 'feedback' to update MIDI controllers (e.g. the motorized faders on devices like the BCF2000)
* MIDI pages fixed - previously, pages (and shift) would not provide correct MIDI feedback
* MIDI note-on/note-off fixed
* Monacor 510 fixed
* Fixture Creator fixed
* Restore intensity channels now restores the intensity channel and no longer shutter channel

Re: New version 3.5.5
Thanks to the devs for making such an awesome utility! I run the lights and sound at Church and this has been a go-to tool.
That said, I do have a quick question. The Android app says it requires Freestyler 3.5.6 or later, but this 3.5.5 is the latest version I've found. I'll probably give it a shot anyhow, but wanted to make sure there wasn't a hidden beta somewhere that I couldn't find.
Thanks a ton!
Ben

Re: New version 3.5.5
Hey,
i am using a DMX510 USB Interface and Freestyler 3.5.5 with Windows 7 64.
On my Notebook (Win 7 Prof. 64) all is working
on my Pcs (Win 7 64 Prof. 64) the lights are flashing.
I am using a DMX-I Test (DMX Tester) at work and on my pc the values are refreshing all the time.
With the DMX510usb.exe in the installdirectory i can Change my lampvalues without having the above Problem.
my steps:
1) "Bcdedid.exe /set nointegritychecks ON" --> to deactivate the System integrity check
2) Interface DMX 510 USB plug in
3) Driver install from Directory
4) In Powermanagement of the installed 510USB i turn of "allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power"
5) Freestyler from mainpage download and install
6) start the installed Software with compatibility with Windows XP (SP2) and as Administrator
7) set Interface to DMX-510USB, save
8) Add Fixtures
9) I Also deleted the 3 files with *.manifest (Office 2003 Problems mentioned in the Forum)
Can you help me out?
Why is the Software working on my Laptop? Why can I change the lamps without refreshing with the DMX Controller?
Is the Problem in the FS 3.5.5? I also used 3.4.8, it doesn't work either.

Re: New version 3.5.5
Just installed and initially looks fine, but what changes were made to the fade and speed?
I was just about to ask why you can't set the speeds to anything other than 100 increments and hoped that had been added to the new version. My problem is trying to create a sequence for a song and the timing is just off either way. 600 is too fast and 700 is too slow. Granted I can probably fine tune it with the speed control slider mapped on my midi controller but I'd feel way better knowing all I gotta do is wait for the drummer to count off and tap my sequence button and walk into the crowd and know the lights are timed right

How does one become an official beta tester?

You'd probably have to ask djsupport (admin) if there's chance you could be one.kwelch007 wrote:How does one become an official beta tester?

Re: New version 3.5.5
I have tried for a while and asked what I need to do but still nowhere.
All good tho. It's reserved for guys that help a lot on the forums or are some sort of developer.
