Long fade

I need to know how to make a long fade between two dmx states.

I am trying to make a 40 min length fade for a show. From 0 to 255 on intensity and red channel. But I can`t find the right way.

Tried with sequence creator but each step is limited to 1 min. Do I have to make a 40 steps sequence. I also read that it's limited to 15 steps.

Tried qith cue player speed slider, but it does not give me the full and precise control I need and also at 13% speed i t only multiplies my fade length very little.

Can anyone point me in the right directioin
