I had the following setup: 8 Futurelights SC 370 in 2 groups of 4, 6 Martin Robo pro 518 in 2 Groups of 3. Every fixture hat an own address. The connection was as follows: FS - Enttec pro - Futurelights 8-7-6-5-1-2-3-4, phase converter- Martin 3-2-1-6-5-4 - DMX-Terminator.
In addition I had a fogger (antari F750, separate, in timer mode) and a center-effect with 8 beams and its own controller (in case of a FS-failure) and some deco-lights (separate).
I have set an additional group each for the 8 Futurelights together and the 6 martins together. It was a setup for a party, dancefloor with approx 10x15m.
1: Bezier shapes 1: i noticed that when running the groups in Bezier-shape (1 for the Martins, 1 for the Futurelights), after a while, (and this makes absolutely no sense to me???) the single fixtures that were running on the same shape as a group, were not in sync anymore, or in other words that 4 fixtures doing the same movement from bezier shapes, were still doing the shape after a few minutes, but not synchronized anymore (a circle, for example: no.1 was in 0° position, no.2 in 15°, no.3 in 90° and so on) I checked if there was a fan set, and did not find one. So I have no idea what happened. When I changed the shape to square or any other shape and back to circle they were in sync again.
2: Groups: I have set a blackout on each group (1: 8 Futurelights 2: 6 martins) on the arrows of my keyboard. This works almost fine to switch groups on/off with the music. Unfortunately I sometimes had one scanner of the Futurelight group switching on with the Martin group as well, while the other 7 blacked out correctly. I checked the group assignments and found no problem. The funny thing was that this did not happen on the same fixture all the time, but it happened once in the Futurelight no.7, and once in no.6. Sometimes it worked fine as well.
3: Bezier shapes 2: I programmed some cues and thought that it would be a lot easier to have all shapes available in the Bezier section: is there a way to design a simple movement like up-down or left-right (a 2-points cue, basically) I can change the bezier shape to a complicated shape, but a simople one would be great as well. I tried to delete points in the bezier shape which does not work.
4: a delay function as Martin Light jockey offers would be great. Not the fan-option, but one that lets the fixture run a shape while every fixture has some delay to the one before (a 'la ola' effect).
for the rest: FS worked fine all nite long, no problems and a great show. It only happened once that my Martin fixtures were turned to blackout and didn't turn on again (lamps were on though). I tried a reset, and different other things with no result. The movement was running fine, so it was not a problem with DMX. I assume there is a bug in the shutter-section of the fixture file, i already posted it in the fixture section. It took 5 minutes and somehow I got the Fixtures back in my control, but no Idea what I made to do so.
Thanks for this great piece of software! It will take a while to go deeper into it, but it's a lot of fun already!
