Resolume with Freestyler and Easyview
I need help on using resolume with freestyler. I don't have the entec usb to dmx, but I have the dmxking ultra dongle http://dmxking.com/usbdmx/ultradmxmicro. right now I think that shouldn't matter because I will be running both software on the same PC. and if not I will just run over artnet via ethernet cable to a laptop with the dmx software. but- how do I add resolume as a fixture in Freestyler? Do I just use the generic profile? I am hoping I will be able to use it in the easyview visualizer, like this at 24 seconds

Re: Resolume with Freestyler and Easyview
There is no fixture file for Resolume. Are you using Resolume Arena 4?
You will need to create a fixture file for it. The last time I checked on Resolume to need 137 Channels to run resolume in DMX mode. This is to use the layers and effects options etc. I don't think it has another DMX mode to run using less channels. Use a generic dimmer fixture to test it out with. Something with alot of channels. Load 4 x 12 channel dimmers. That should get you started.

If you have the manual I can have a look at making it for you, if you want that is.

You'll need to separate fixtures, one for freestyler, then again for easy view. If you have the manual, I'll make you both fixtures for both programs.

How do you get the videos to play in Magic View? I need to figure that one out too.

Re: Resolume with Freestyler and Easyview
I believe to get video working you need to be in FULL mode, which basically means you need to connect an interface for this to work. Then I believe you can record video and play them back in 3D easy view for your viewing pleasure on how your show could look, it's something I've been meaning to try myself but never got round to it.
If I find any more information on this, I'll be sure to PM you or post it here =)

Re: Resolume with Freestyler and Easyview
I worked out that you need to create an object, Lets say a screen. Go to the colour editing tab of the object and change the texture. The texture doesn't have to be a photo can be an avi or an mpeg. Select the video and you are done.
