Hello -
To begin, I'm totally clueless about lights/dmx/freestyler......trying to find lighting software to control lights and play in synch with backing tracks for my band(using show cue systems for backing tracks)....will have Led pucks, moving heads, etc........looking for opinions on software? What is best for the $? Easiest? etc.....is there anything freestyler can't do? limitations? Don't really know the right questions to ask? lol...
Also what is a good interface?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi scottm80
Fs can do a lot but requires tile to be mastered. It is not really plug and play. It can handle any DMX controllable fixture, from parcans to moving heads, but you might have to edit fixtures files. There are limitations but I guess that to begin lighting your band you wont reach them.
I started to use a DMX4all MK3 usb interace. No problem till now.
Start with simple things and exercice yourself with the virtual interface et 3D easy view... for no cost.
