Submasters

Post by Nathanrs93 »

Hi,

I am wanting to use submasters for my next show that I do, but don't have a clue about them or where to start. If anyone could give me some tips and help me out then that would be great. :)

Thanks.

I'd strongly suggest reading the Frestyler Wiki on submasters here: http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/c ... d_tutorial

I think of the submaster section as a mixer for various cue lists. I'll create scenes of just colors and add them all to a cue list. Then another cue list of scenes of just dimmer chases. Another cue list for scanner pan/tilt moves; another for scanner dimmer chases.

once you separate all those attributes, you can then mix and match those in the submaster panel. So you can choose a color scene, and a dimmer chase.

The rest is really up to your imagination. But the idea is to separate functions so you can change them on the fly rather than bake them all into scenes or chases.

Good luck.
