SM1 with Fader and Flash Button

Post by spankthafunk »

How can I have a flash button and a fader both control intensity on a midi device? I want basically both the flash and the fader to control Submaster (1,2,or 20) Intensity.

I have Submaster1 my downstage LEDs. There are 4 cues, each an individual color: White, R, G, B.

I want my midi controller fader to control the intensity, so that I can change the cue (color) when the fader (intensity) is down. And then bring the intensity up with the fader. Then I also want to hit the flash button for quick flashes of color, depending on whatever cue (color) I have selected.

I can't use override buttons because they are separate cues, and the flash button on the midi device will only use the one color I choose. (If that makes sense).

(Sorry for all the posts recently, still learning this thing)

hi again.

i solved this with MIDI manipulation.

Like you have a Fader Note:5 velocitie 0 to 127 (Incromental) From off to on
so i gave a Button the same Note:5 Velocity 0 Or 127 so normal off ,value set by Fader is used.
if you press the button it gives a Velocity 127 so Full on Unpress the button adn it goes back to 0

so its not optiomal but its the easyiest way.

Thats why i'm creating my own Midi controll and Leared if i connect a Button to the Fader Wiper en +
i get the result i whant 8-)
without loosing Note's or need a Extra software i do it with the hardware.
