Trying to understand this guys. I programmed some simple 1 step sequences (colors, intensity, etc) and tied them to override buttons. In some cases, when I hit a 2nd button, the 1st one goes off. In other instances, when I hit a 2nd button, the 1st button still stays lit. If I turn off the 2nd button, it defaults back to the 1st lit button. So trying to understand why that happens, and if it is a setting somewhere.
Example: Button 1 (LED RED), Button 2 (LED BLUE), Button 3 (PARs 50%)
I would like to be able to do the following:
1) Toggle a color off or on : Button 1 active (red on), Button 1 inactive (red off)
2) Toggle between colors : Button 1 active (red on), toggle over to button 2 (color changes to blue)
3) Be able to use multiple buttons at the same time : Button 1 (red on), Button 3 (PARs on)
Thanks

Re: Help with toggling Override buttons
This is because you Recorded extra channels to a Sequence.
i will make 2 Differnt Examples
Example 1:
Sequence 1:
Red channel to "255" "FADE"
Green channel to "0" "FADE"
Blue channel to "0" "FADE"
Dimmer channel "0" "OFF"
Sequence 2:
Red channel to "0" "FADE"
Green channel to "255" "FADE"
Blue channel to "0" "FADE"
Dimmer channel "0" "OFF"
Here you see a Example if you press Sequence1 you will get "RED" and if you press Sequence 2 you will het "Green"
Now a Nother example.
Example 2:
Red channel to "255" "FADE"
Green channel to "0" "OFF"
Blue channel to "0" "OFF"
Dimmer channel "0" "OFF"
Sequence 2:
Red channel to "0" "OFF"
Green channel to "255" "FADE"
Blue channel to "0" "OFF"
Dimmer channel "0" "OFF"
Now you see a Example so you can Merge the colors with each other.
So if you press Sequence 1 it will be RED but if you press Sequence 2 it will be Yellow.
and if you disable Sequence 1 you'll get "GREEN"
And for the Dimmer it should look like this.
Red channel to "0" "OFF"
Green channel to "0" "OFF"
Blue channel to "0" "OFF"
Dimmer channel "127" "FADE"
The most importent thing to look at is the FADE, SNAP or OFF button next to the Slider.
Because if its on FADE or SNAP it will be recorded to the Sequence.
and OFF means its NOT recorded to the sequences

Re: Help with toggling Override buttons
Thank you so much for that detailed explanation. While that clears thing up for running multiple cue's at the same time, it is probably not valid for the override buttons, as those buttons will only execute the first sequence, and not the subsequent ones. Either way, I will play around with the OFF, SNAP, FADE, and see what happens with 1 recorded sequence and how things change between button clicks (override).
As I mentioned, sometimes I can toggle from one button to the other (last one turns off while new one turns on), while other times I can activate 2 buttons at the same time. This is good news though, mainly because I would want to toggle between colors (turn last color off and new color on), while I would like to have LED and PAR fixtures on at the same time, using override buttons.
If you (or anyone else) has more insight to this, with the override button reacting differently based on these settings, please let me know.
Thanks for your time and helpful hints !!

Re: Help with toggling Override buttons
Spirit,
Not sure if I ever said thanks, but you were very right about the SNAP, FADE, OFF options. I knew what they were, but what I had a hard time grasping is that even if I was not using a color in a sequence, I still had to leave it to FADE or SNAP and 0, in order to turn the last color off, so that it does not mix with the next color in the override. Once I understood that, everything worked out great. But to be honest, I have since moved to SM, a lot more organized, and I keep the buttons for turning on things like PARs and Blacklight cannons. Much easier.
Anyways, thanks for all the help sir !!!

Re: Help with toggling Override buttons
Yes thats why i made the 2 examples.
But about the Fade, snap and off counts the same on the submasters.
its just the way how you need to Program you sequences, Because allmost everything works on LTP.
and the dimmers and/or RGB will work with HTP.
i use the Override buttons for all the sequences that only got 1STEP and all the sequence with more steps i use them on the Submasters.
Good luck and still having troubles i will hear from you.
