Midi Note-Off necessary?

Post by docMario »

Hi,
i want to use the Millenium DP1000 drum Pad via USB-to-MIDI interface to trigger sequences in FS.
(for a description of the pad see http://www.thomann.de/de/millenium_dp1000.htm)

Unfortunately, the thomann customer service told me that the DP1000 is not able to send note-off signals.. only note-on. Obviously, in some sound devices this will lead to a "cumulation" of notes playing

--> Is this a problem with FS? Does FS need a note-off signal to work?

best regards, Mario

hi

Yes FS needs the off Velocity

like a Overridebutton, blackout, freeze, Toggle buttons needs a (00 Velocity) to turn it off and a (7F velocity) to turn it on.

Freestyler also only accepts CC# Notes.

But on the Midioptions window there are some options you can change if your Midixontroller send the correct note's
