Flame projectors
I am a totally new guy to lighting software, my forte is pyrotechnics. I have 6 color flame projectors with 4 channels each. I just recently downloaded Freestyler. I am trying to build a show using a set choreographed music sequence which we fire our display to. My questions is how do I get them into the fixtures section, and can you import a music sequence and build it in freestyler.

Re: Flame projectors
the quick answer you are going to get from most people on this forum is that they will not give you any room for this topic to expand. I too am a licenced Pyro Technican so I know what I'm talking about. I'm sure that the people involved in this software want nothing to do with the idea of using Freestyler to control anything pyrotechnic. And most people on this forum will not have the knowledge you seek.

Re: Flame projectors
Do they use DMX for control or is it just on off function to trigger squibs? If you are talking about the flame throwing fixtures that use DMX then we could probably create a fixture file for it.
If it is just 'on' function sending a current through to trigger a pyro, then probably not because you would still need a DMX converter to trigger to charge the squib and each squib on each channel you want to use.
I think think this could allow for for misfires.

Re: Flame projectors
It is dmx controlled, 4 channels each unit for 4 different colors. They are electric igniters for spark to control the flame. We use a pyro software for the fireworks, I am wanting to add the flame and strobe and other lighting effects to enhance the show. It is an outdoor venue. about 2000 people on the lake with concert. Any ideas for cool lighting effects would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Flame projectors
Just had a search on youtube.
It looks cool.
Do you have any user manual with DMX info that you can link to.
