Dear all,
first off all I want to excuse my english. German guy here...lol
I have one question, maybe someone can help me. I will try to explain it step by step. Hope someone understands me.
1. I start to programm/edit a new sequence. For example 40 or more steps.
2. I use for example 4 LED Par, an Eurolite FE 600 and a ShowTec Dynamic LED
3. The LED PAR I did programm with very short sequence time/ step (maybe a second or two)
4. The Eurolite FE 600 I program with 10 seconds
5. The ShowTec Dynamic LED I program with 15 second
6. At each step I program a fixture (for example a LED PAR) all other fixtures are OFF
7. After I programed the whole sequence I save it.
8. Next step is opening the saved sequence in the CUE list
9. The CUE list allows different types of light playin. For example Light to Sound
10.At first I start with usual way. That means all steps from the saved sequnce start to play like programed. That means, the LED Par for one second, the Eurolite FE 600 for 10 seconds and so on.
11. If I start the Sound to Light modus in the CUE list for sure the sequence is played also step by step. But not in the time I did program. All steps are around one second now. Like the beat of the bass. Also the Eurolite FE 600 and the ShowTec Dynamic LED. I do not understand why but maybe someone can explain me what I am doing wrong.
My target is to play a sequnece in the CUE list like I did program it. That means exatly the seconds I programed. But in this case I also want to have the steps played in Sound to Light. That means if the step of the 10 seconds Eurolite FE is playing/lightening I want to see the movements of the light in Sound to Light but full 10 seconds.
Maybe someone understands my english and is able to help me. I get crazy.
Many thanks in advance to each person who is trying to help a newbie in lightening.
Best Regards and a nice day
Sascha

Sound to Light with Sequenzes
Sound to light will always trigger the next step regardless of how long you programmed it for. So a 10 second fade time will be reduced to the length of time between beats. One solution may be to include a series of dummy cues where the fixtures does nothing on the beat. After all the dummy cues are triggered, the fixture will then do what you want it to do. For example 10 cues doing nothing followed by a strobe cue then ten cues of nothing etc...

Re: Sound to Light with Sequenzes
I have a question in regards to using multiple fixtures with Sound 2 Light.
I have 2 COLORrails that have their own sequences, and also 4 SCX500 scanners. Some of the COLORrail sequences are designed to run very fast .01 or so. Using Sound to Light and setting it to mutliply the beat works well for this purpose, however when I want to run the program on the scanners though, having the steps go that fast doesn't work.
Is there any way to accomplish something along the lines of having the COLORrail change steps every beat multiplied by 2, but then say have the scanners react only on the divison of every beat by 4. I'm guessing sound to light alone doesn't support individual settings for various groups of fixtures.
So what would be the best way to accomplish this?
