i got these uplights from china, they look identical to the american dj punch light. i have the dmx chart but im having trouble creating the file. i was only able to set the RGB and strobe, i couldn't figure out how to do color change. can someone please help?

ch3 - 0-50 - enable ch1-ch7
51-100 - program color selection
101-150 - program gradually change
151-200 - program impulse change
201-250 - program jump change
251-255 - sound activated

ch4 - 1-255 - gradually change from dim to bright (sound activated)

ch5 - 0-255 - red dimmer

ch6 - 0-255 - green dimmer

ch7 - 0-255 - blue dimmer

Hej Jefftripz.

I don't know what the controls are for but you can allways use the faders in the right side of Freestyler (FS) to manually check that.

I will guess that ch1 or ch4 is the mastes dimmer so that I will put into the "Intensity channel"
(It is bellow the Strobe ch)

CH3 I will put in the gobo ch with 6 gobos' and then fill in some icons that fit the function you want to use it for.

When you enter a value in the gobo table then use a mid value.
Ex. "program color selection" 51 - 100, use the midt value 75.
One tricky thing could be that the function will change speed, coloc, intensity due to the value but this you have to test
It could be like "color selection - slow" 51, "color selection - fast" 100

Hej Again.

Macro is also a way.

If you use the gobo then you will have a fader together with the icons.

That can be helpfull if you have the "color selection - slow" 51, "color selection - fast" 100 situation.

well what i did for that was easy. i messed around with the faders to get the best result with the color change on ch 3 and the time (slow or fast) on the fader which is actually controlled with ch4. so in the macro, i just put in these 2 values on the same macro, ie: slow - 51 (ch3) fader - 150 (ch4) and then the next macro fast - 100 (ch3) fader - 200 (ch4)

it works perfect!

so what i did was make 5 macro's:
mac1 - static color
mac2 - color jump change slow
mac3- color jump change med
mac4 - color jump change fast
mac5 - color change blend

yes, those are the exact ones!!! i redid the fixture file for the uplights using the gobo method as described above, it works pretty well when running the lights manually (not using sub controls and cues) but i seem to be having a problem when i create cue's with it. if im only setting single colors (with and without strobe) i have no problems. the colors switch fine between different cuelist buttons. but if i have them set to a color change mode, it seems as if they it overrides static color and wont change back unless i manually override the cue buttons and turn color change off. im not sure if any of that makes sense to you but i'll send you the fixture file i made and see if it works for you. otherwise, i'll just wait till you make yours and i'll test yours out!
