Does anyone have a profile for the Elation Revolution?

Post by specter333 »

I'd like to be able to allow a client to use a Elation Revolution someone installed for them years ago but did not sell them a controller to operate it. It's been hanging from the ceiling in this room for no one knows how long but never been turned on.

I'm an audio tech so I'm would not be able to create a profile very quickly and I don't have access to the fixture to be able to test. It would be helpful if someone had this already that could be uploaded or created if it's not too much trouble. I'm sure I could figure this out myself but I would like to be able to walk in and immediately be able to control the fixture, after addressing and setup of course, without having to work through building the profile with the client watching over my shoulder.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi specter333

1.) Have you searched the forums
2.) If its not on the FreeStyler Fixture Files forum then doubt its been made http://www.freestylersupport.com/fsforu ... m.php?f=23
3.) You should find the .pdf manual for you fixture on google and post the URL here
4.) And if you have any files you have created yourself in fixture creator your need to export them from fixture creator as .pff file and upload that here

I build fixture for others on the freestyer forums and have built loads so im sure i can help you out

Google results just a few (wrong) pages using the search phrase "Elation Revolution".
Thats weird, so maybe you re-check the brand and model of the fixture?

Hate to tell you, we are not here for that kind of support.
Maybe someone here (or you) can create the fixture profile, but without having the actual fixture its always a big guess.

My advice: pick up the fixture and go play with it - creating your own fixture profile. Test it before going back to your client and don't forget to post the profile on this forum. :)

OR just try and create the fixture file yourself using the manual. Then post the exported pff here together with the manual and we'll look for you if it seems okay. But, without a real fixture, no one can guarantee it to work. We can only say it has a (high) chance it will work, or not.

I'll check on the brand/model of the fixture, I was told it was Elation Revolution but it's hanging from a ceiling about 25' in the air so it will be difficult to check. Once I verify the fixture I'll find the manual and upload. I appreciate you guys looking, I know it will be difficult to create without having one to test, I was hoping maybe some one already had a profile for it.

It's a busy time of year, I'm sure you know, but it will slow down a lot after tonight and I"ll be able to devote more time to this.

Thank you for your replies.
