EVL Spin

Post by mart0037 »

Hi folks, I use 3 EVL spins...

The pre-programmed light sequences are awesome on these lights so I wasnt that keen on using freestyler to control them. However, as I dont have the simple EVL micro controller that controls the basic functions, I have no way of turning on blackout or switching them to slow mode. I need a way which I can link them to freestyler, as I run freestyler with other lights, but just use the basic functions - BLACKOUT, SLOW etc. I definetly dont realy need to start programming sequences for them as they run excellent on their own in 'local mode'.

I am in the process of creating a fixture for them (not that sure if im doing it right?) and have looked in the manual and it does say that if all the channels are set to 255 the spin will operate via its own internal programs (which is what I need), so I need to build the fixture so I can just turn them on/off with freestyler but just let them go on their own, but be able to slow them down when I play slow music. Would be good if I could select the gobo/colour if I want, but this isnt essential.

Im not sure if any of this is possible and how to set it up right.

The manual for them is here -

Would appreciate as much help as possible.

Thanks guys
