RS232 ->Rs485 ADAM 4520

Hello,

i tried do use a ADAM-4520 ( http://www.advantech.de/products/ADAM-4 ... -5V6L.aspx ) Interface to control my ADJ ScanTron 250 but it doesen't work well. Most time the gobo and colors rotaining und Pan/tilt is anywhere else as it should be. Is possible to use this Module or is there somthig special by DMX as by RS485 ?

And is it possible to plug in the scanner by my own?

It's not a DMX controller and it is not supported by FreeStyler or any other lighting software that I am aware of.

DMX is RS485, running at about 250 Kbps.
And there is one of your problems: the converter you have there has a maximum speed of 115.2 Kbps.
The second problem: Makeing a DMX compliant signal is a software job in this case. So you should use software that 'knows' your interface. My guess is that there is no software in the world that will turn your ADAM 4520 into a fully working DMX 512 interface.

So i bought a Enttec open right now. Think for my Scanners and Par's it does his job.
