Summary of changes to submaster controls;)

Hi Guys,

Right, following on from some discussions in other threads on this and the software board, I thought I would summarise the change requests that seem to have fallen out.

Please correct me if I have gotten any of this wrong!

1 - Can we please have the option of more than 5 submasters on one page, or at least accessible directly from midi without changing pages ?

2 - Can we please have a seperate go/stop button accessible via midi rather than just a "toggle submaster button" to allow more flexible controller programming.

3 - Could we please have the option to "stop" playback of a submaster when the fader is pushed to 0, and Run the submaster when the fader moves from 0 upwards. This would provide an intuitive method of selecting sequences.

4 - Could we find a way to make the speed controllers in midi match the submaster page we are on, rather than having to do ingenious and complicated things with midi-ox to achieve this effect. E.g. if I am on page 2 and my faders are controlling submaster 5-10 then I'd like the chase speed controls to operate sequence 5-10 speed.

This one is unlikely but it would be nice
5 - Could the submaster fader be assigned to other attributes rather than just intensity. i.e. shape size, speed, LTP fade time etc.

I hope that captures it all?

Think this would make the product much more flexible during live playback and simplify the setup of midi controllers

I think number three should be switchable. For example if I run a show and want to black out the lights for a short time I can slide the faders to 0. But I do not always want that the first step of the sequence starts afterwards.

Hi All

In the new version there will be following changes:

- Fader start/stop control
- Seperate run, stop, go, back & intensity controls for each submaster (keyboard & MIDI)
- Submaster groups: a submaster will control all submasters from the same SM group (start, stop & intensity), up to 10 groups can be defined.

After testing the new update 1-4 will now be possible.
1. Each submaster will be directly accessible via midi. Still only 5 on a page. but you can program your midi device to interact with any of them without having to switch pages.
2. Separate start and stop is available via midi
3. Fader start stop is now included.
4. Each submaster speed has its own midi control, so you can set any of your midi fades to control it.

You can group a selection of sub masters together. Pressing Start/stop/go/back etc on a grouped sub-master, will propagate to the others. This will alow you to select multiple sequences from the submasters and start them all with one push of a button or fader start

either you have another version than me, you might be wrong, or I can't find it the MIDI functions which is submaster speed??

id like another function:

using the cuelist buttons override ALL cues wich means its quite static
i think it wold be usefull if they only replace the cues that exist, and not erasing other ones
maybe with right clicking on them and say: static/dynamic

You can assign 5 rotary encoders or faders to intensity for 20 submasters distributed on 4 pages. What we are missing is to have that submaster feature for the speeds. Now you have to assign 20 rotary encoders or faders.
This feature is not new. It has always been in FS
