Lockup when adding fixtures

I'm using the latest version of freestyler. Every time I try to add fixtures or to modify one in fixture editor both programs lockup when it trys to load the image. I have searched through the forums and I haven's seen where anyone else has had this issue. I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

Do not have Freestyler open when using fixture creator. Fix the file THEN open Freestyler

it's not with the two programs open at the same time. It just occurs with both programs.

How large is your image? (Bitmap file size and pixel size)

it's with the default fixtures or any fixtures for that matter. I can browse the manufactures when I go to add/remove fixtures but ass soon as I select a fixture its self the program locks up. On a side note. I can build a location file on another machine and load it without any issues.

Okay, so it is definately not something in the fixture files, but somehow you only have that problem with that particular installation of FS and don't have the same problem on another machine. Right?

You could try reinstalling FS (make a backup or rename the FreeStyler directory as a backup) and see if the problem persists.

If you are useing Vista or 7, make sure to install to c:\freestyler as there are known issues with installing it in program files.
