Mouse wheel to set values

Post by spacerat »

hello all,

first of all .. my english is horrible ;) sorry for this!

second ... is it possible to use the mouse wheel to set values in the bars and all other settings bars? so you can exactly set a value ... e.g. when i will set a value to 122 there is the problem for me to click and move the mouse till i get this .. its easier to set it with the mouse wheel .. is this possible right now or will be it become in a new version?

thanks in advance

greetings

spacerat

I dont think you can use the mouse wheel at the moment. if you want to select a specific value often, you can make a macro for the fixture in the fixture creator.

you can also choose to use the "Run Command" feature in Freestyler. Click on the "Go" button in the command line of the main window and enter the specific value.

There is 2 ways.

1) select the fixture you want to alter by clicking on it with the mouse.

2) let's say you want to alter fixture 4. You enter "4" + "enter" in the command window.
Now you have selected fixture 4 and can alter it via the command window.

hello krede,

i have tried it out but everytime i choose fixture 2 and put a value in vor channel 2 (or any other channel) it set it to fixture one.

e.g

choosing fixture: button fixture on and set 2+enter to get fixture 2 <-works
then i will give channel 2 on fixture 2 a dmx value from 90: button channel on and set 2@DMX90+enter

but it will set the value on the first fixture ... what do i wrong .. thank in advance ;)

thats the same thing if i choose it with my mouse ...

you have to be in one mode, don't change between fixture and channel mode.

when you are in channel mode "3@100" means that DMX channel 3 is set to 100% (DMX 255)

in fixture mode "3@100" means that intensity for fixture 3 is set to 100% (DMX 255).

if you want to change the DMX value for gobo for fixture 3 to 120 you have to enter "3 shift 3 DMX 120". the command line will show "3GOBO@DMX120".

you can also change other things, just enter shift and 0-9. apparently you cant change all fixture features (Pan and Tilt for example) by the command line without knowing the exact and absolute DMX address and use the channel mode.

FYI:
