Freestyler 3.0.1 on Vista -> Easy View does not open

Post by rwil »

Hi everybody,

I installed today Version 3.0.1 of freestyler on Win XP. Everything fine, 3D Easy View opens when I click the black button on the toolbar. But when I install it on Win Vista systems (I tried on 2 independend systems), 3D Easy View does not open. Install 3DEV manually doesn't work as well.

Any ideas or experience with that issue?

Best regards,
Robert

Robert, I too have FreeStyler on XP and Vista (64-bit) computers. They run fine on each. Have you selected "Virtual Interface" as your controller? Easy View needs that to receive the data.

I have Vista premium on my laptop (not the one i use live) and the easyview works OK.. fist time i open the Easyview Vista asked me if it should block it.. your Vista computer should do the same. be sure that you have allowed easyview to run.

I dont think that's necessary. If you select a interface it should still work with the easy view, but i'm not sure?

I have already selected "Virtual Controller" as interface. I think it is possible, that Vista blocks my EasyView by default.
Does anyone know, how I can set up the allowance/rights in Vista for EasyView to run?

thank you all, guys!

It could be your firewall because thats why the windows firewall thing comes up because easy view and FS are talking to each other....
