Hi Everyone.
I already have my FS programmed with alots of fx. I have been using it for a while now.
Now, I am going to a show and I will have to control par lights. I will not use them for chase or anything, just fade in and fade out. However, I need to be able to control it manually and it SHOULD NOT be included in ANY cues... Since all cues are fx and the par is to light the stage...
How would I do this?
Currently I have added a par fixture but when I run a cue, it overwrites what I have put...
Thanks!

What do you mean by this?Raiden wrote: Currently I have added a par fixture but when I run a cue, it overwrites what I have put...
If you have set the par manually with the sliders on the right, and you start a cue which controls other fixtures, then the par should just stay as you have set it.

Re: Submaster that overwrites everything
I ment to say that I have added a par fixture to my setup. I have set a value with the right sliders. THen I go in the cue window and run a sequence (pressing the play button) that I used to have before I added the par. At this time my par values will drop to 0.remco_k wrote:What do you mean by this?Raiden wrote: Currently I have added a par fixture but when I run a cue, it overwrites what I have put...

I set it manually and it still does the same thing. Does it make a difference if the sequence are transparent or static??? The only way I was able to work around it was to run a sequence then manually change the sliders. They will go in overwrite mode (the blue triangle) and this will overwrite all sequence/cues.
Thanks!

hi,
yes is totaly diferent tranparent to static, when you want to run more than one sequence at the same time, you need to create in tranparent mode, the channels you do not select will not do anything, and you can override the channels you want without stop the sequence. but if you use static will only run the channels selected in the sequence, the others will "stop". if you override with a step(sequence) created in static, of course will stop and only act to the override button.

Re: Submaster that overwrites everything
So does that mean I need to change all my sequences to transparent so they can run without touching my pars???
Is there a easy way to do it?

Re: Submaster that overwrites everything
Not easy but also not the hardest thing in the world, but can be time consuming if you have many sequences and fixtures.Raiden wrote:So does that mean I need to change all my sequences to transparent so they can run without touching my pars???
Is there a easy way to do it?
1) open the sequence you want to edit in the "Create sequence" window
2) select all the fixtures you don't want to be controlled by the chosen sequence
3) at the sliders to the rignt, you click on every "Snap" button until it says "Off"
4) press the button "Save changes to all steps" in the "Create sequence" window
5) save the sequence
--> now, all the fixtures you selected will not be effected by the sequence and you can control them manually, or by another sequence
NOTE:
* remember to do this for all your sequences you want to be in "Transparent Mode"
* remember to set "Transparent Mode" in the "Create sequence" window so you don't have this problem again when you make new sequences
