Problems Creating Sequence

I seem to be at an impasse here. I can't get any of my sequences to work. Here are the steps I'm taking to create a sequence. Let's say I want to take some fixtures and want them to fade up and down. Here is what I do.

1. Click on create new sequence.
2. Select the fixtures I want to change.
3. Make all the necessary settings using the snap feature on all fixtures except the dimmer/intensity.
4. I set the intensity/dimmer channel to 100% make sure that it says fade.
5. I click to create a new step.
6. I set the intensity to 0 so that it fades off and make sure that the intensity/dimmer is set to fade.
7. I click on the save all steps button.
8. I save the sequence and insert it into a cue.

The result I should get is when I press the play button to run the sequence, the fixtures should fade up, then fade back down. Nothing happens and I am extremely frustrated because I can't seem to get it to work at all. None of the traits seem to be changing. I have watched the videos on youtube regarding creating sequences and cues and I followed it exactly, but it still refuses to work and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. Can someone help me? By the way, the shutter was set to open on both steps so that should not be a problem.

this buttons feature is if you want to make a change to all your steps.. what you have done after setting the intensity to 0 is to save this intensuity value to all your steps. Try to do alle the descripoed steps again, exept step 7,,, then it wil work..

i'm curious. What did you think this button did?
