Thats not the case. I believe I use those characters also and don't have these problems.
But had similar in the past.

It might not be a bug.
If you want to solve you problem you need to supply some more information. At least the fixture files you created, the sequence itself and the DMX assignment channels for them, so we maybe can see you did something wrong in the fixture file or so.
But before posting back here, check if you did'nt mis an mandatory field in the fixture creator.
