Im new to all this DMX stuff and dont really understand what im doing. I have brought a dmx laser (fireworks fw-318rgy)from ebay and just want to have a play. I have made the velleman usb to dmx interface and this seems to be working but i have been unable to get anything working from freestyler,dmx and the laser (the laser works standalone). The instruction that came with the laser have all the dmx commands and looking at the fixtures already in freestyler the ws818rgy has the same basic setup for each of the 9 channels but its just missing the images in between which i guess i can fix later or just select the blank images.
Has anyone got a saved show (cue) for this laser that i could test out?
Has anyone got this laser working with this setup and therefore a updated fixture profile?
Is there any really stupid guides i can see that tells me all the concepts of dmx control, most i have found seem to assume you know something to start with.
