I have built my home theater to include DMX controlled lighting to get features such as advanced dimming and fiber optic light control. This is working very well manually, and now I would like to automate it. I would like to be able to play a video or movie, and then synchronize lighting events to the video played on the screen.
I have found products such as Enttec's for sending out DMX singles with a computer, such as through the USB port. The "Open DMX USB" seems like a very good, economical solution for me. The trouble is I have not found an inexpensive software solution that combines lighting control with playing videos/movies from a computer.
Can FreeStyler help with this? Can it be used to synchronize with videos, or work in conjunction with another player? If not, do you have any recommendations?

Re: Home Theater DMX Video Control
I prefer resolume over arkaos Now I dont know about there newest release but you could either use the DMX pro to output dmx by setting up flash files with the dmx parram, eters set in flash or control resolume using the dmx in of the pro, which I think is the same as the arkaos software...
