Hello
I have recently returned to freestyler after leaving it for a few months and ive never found anything as powerful. My main problem is that my lights respond the the output but only if i change the channel up and then back down on the light. Im using the JMS usb2dmx system. Has anyone had the same problem/have a soloution?
Thanks
Aiden

Re: Freestyler Problems
Seems like a problem in the JMS usb2dmx interface or its driver to me.
Or bad cabling and/or no termination.
What if you connect just one fixture to your interface, terminate it correctly, does it work then?
If you change the DMX channel up and down in your fixtures config, then it stays working forever? Or when does it stop working?

Re: Freestyler Problems
After i stop changing the channels up and down, it stops responding. I'm not using a terminator and have never done so. I also have used just my JMS USB interface directly into the scanner to see whether it could be something to do with my cabling. I am inclined to believe it isnt anything to do with drivers or the interface becuase it works with other software.
Thanks

Re: Freestyler Problems
You should really terminate your DMX line as it stops refelction "shadow" back down the line, not so noticable on short runs or with a few fixtures.LordAJ wrote:After i stop changing the channels up and down, it stops responding. Some fixtures detect that no cable is on the "out" socket and terminate, but don't assume that to be the case with all fixtures and it is so simply to just pop in a terminator.
Also maximum of 32 fixtures per DMX line.
Cabling always use proper DMX cables and not "audio" XLRs.
