Re: Error by select port
Not relly enough information.
I am assuming you are using and Enttec Open or an Enttec pro interface.
If so ensure you have installed the Enttec drivers. When done check in Device Manager to see what port has been associated with the interface. use that one.

Re: Error by select port
Are you looking under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" or "Ports" to find the Enttec in the Device Manager? You should find it under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers", then right click and click on properties. Then go to the port tab. It will be there. You can change which port to be used from there. Make sure you pick a port 1-15. Then go into FS and match up the ports. Usually my pc puts it in port 5 every time I connect it.in device manager i saw that it selected port 25;

I get "USB Serial Converter" in the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" section
I get "USB Serial Port (COM6)" in the "Ports" section. To change the port, right click and select "Properties" then click the "Port Settings" tab and then the "Advanced..." button. You can now change the assigned serial port via the drop down list.
As can be seen by the highlights in the following images.

blab (blb) Proper definition with extra bits missed from copy & paste.
v. blabbed, blab·bing, blabs
v.tr.
To reveal (secret matters) especially through indiscreet or unreserved talk.
v.intr.
1. To reveal secret matters.
2. To chatter thoughtlessly or indiscreetly. See Synonyms at gossip.
n.
1. An incessant or indiscreet talker.
2. Lengthy chatter.
[Middle English blabben, to talk foolishly, back-formation from blaberen.]
I am sure you know I was not saying you was wrong or trying to pull you up, just wanted to ensure info was correct. Very good guess if at work and info not available to you

I have just changed the 2nd picture so it shows some of the ports in the drop down list. Shows ones in use.

Re: Error by select port
Nah, I knew you had my back. To be honest, I always just went straight to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers. I never looked under Ports. Never had to, it was still in the same place I found it as the first timeOnge wrote: I am sure you know I was not saying you was wrong or trying to pull you up, just wanted to ensure info was correct.
