Help!
I had my hard drive crash on my laptop and need to replace it. I had to re-install everything on it. Since I needed winamp for music sync with my shows i was running Version 295H Perfectly with no problems whatsoever. Fortunatly I backed up all my locations, fixtures etc. for both freestyler and easyview.
I re-installed Freestyler 295H on my laptop again and had easyview install automatically with the installation process. The problem I am having is when I attempt to launch the visualizer within Freestyler nothing happens. I will not execute. I un-installing and re-installing and the same thing. I even tried to install ver 3.0.1 and the same thing happens. The visualizer will not open. I have selected both my interface and the virtual interface but non seem to work.
Has anybody had this same problem. If so were you able to resolve it?
Thanks

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
What happens if you start easy view manually? (Find the .exe file and doubleclick it)

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
When starting Easyview by itself from the Freestyler Forlder i get the Demo Popup. Just like if I were to download the EasyView Visualizer by itself. One thing I also noticed is when I open Freestyer and attempt to open the visualizer but nothing happens. When restarting or shutting down my laptop it get two popups that were not popping up..
One says "Smax4PMP" still running end now. The other says "Freestyler 512.e" still running end now. Even after I have closed and exited out of freestyler.

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
You know... out of curiosity I tried installing on a different computer.. Same problem.. I installed it on 3 different computers and i still have the same exact issue. Whit the exception of the sound card popup on the rest of the desktops. Do you think it might be the Service Pack 3 that is making this happen?

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
it sounds like the visualizer is not installed in the right directory?? is the "3D" button in freestyler grayscaled?
have you checked that the EasyView.exe is in the FreeStyler folder? also the "EasyView_data" folder, "EasyViewLibrary" folder and "Scanlibrary.exe" has to be in the FreeStyler folder.
try to install the visualizer manually but in the FreeStyler Folder

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
When instaling Freestyler the visualizer is installed automatically however I downloaded easyview separately and installed it manualy in the freestyler folder. The Easyview icon on freestyler is not greyscaled. When I click on it my hard drive light comes on as if it is being executed then nothing happens. I tried to install it on two different desktop PC's both running Windows XP Pro and the same exact thing happens. Nothing. Im wondering if its a glitch or update on Easyview that is causing this issue. I have been running freestyler for a few years now and have been very sucessful. Unfortunatly my HHD took a dump on me and now I am having a very hard time trying to get it to work correctly. Good thing I backed up all my work, locations, gobo, color, etc. for both Freestyler and Easyview.
Everything is installed on the Freestyler Directory, when running freestyler i have tried to click on the Visualizer button then tryied to run the vizulizer from the freestyler folders "EasyView.exe" but only get the demo popup.
I have a show next week and cant seem to figure out what is wrong.
Thanks for all the help in trying to resolve my issue..

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
I wiped my entire drive again just to rule out any possible issues. The only thing installed are the mere essentials, Video and Sound Drivers. I re-installed Freestyler Version 2.95H and get an error "Failed to open DLL functions" when clicking on the 3D Visualizer button in FreeStyler. I noticed there is a releas for 3.2 so I downloaded and let the installation process install the visualizer. This one does execute the Visualzer when clicking the 3D button. This would be perfect but i need to run the winamp timecode function. The newer release version do not have it. All of my shows are winamp timecoded and have worked flawlessly. Maybe there is a dll file that is not working correctly between the updated Visualizer files and the 2.95H version of Freestyler.

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
I have a suggestion,
try to install the 2.95H version in the same folder as 3.2. then the version 2.95H will overwrite 3.2, but you still have the magic 3d installed (remember not to install magic 3d when installing 2.95H, its already in the folder)
now, try if magic 3D is working.
if it does, then perhaps magic have changed and therefore not compatible with version 2.95H anymore

Re: Freestyler & EasyView Visualizer
Ok... I tried to install version 2.95H into the same folder that I installed version 3.2 and get the same dll error.. I figured easyview changed something with their newer version. But even 3.1 does the same thing only without the dll pop up. When pressing the 3D button in Freestyler it does nothing. I see the HDD light turn on as if it is about to launch but nothing happens. I need to run 2.95H because I need the Winamp Timecode. It is not available in the newer releases. Im thinking there is a problem with one of the library files that doesnt let it work properly.
