Strobe light hotkey

I have a adj strobe and am using free styler. i do alot of house and hardcore parties(im a dj). I was wondering if there was a way to set my strobe to a hotkey or something that it can click and it will come up full dimmer and shutter. I am new to the program and thanks in advance

If you create a 'transparent' scene/sequence with just the strobe DMX changed; then add this to your que list, . Then set a hotkey to that sequence (in the Freestyler Settings page) that should do it. Or possibly there is a way to do it with the favourite key?? (im new to FS as well).

Please correct me if I am wrong!

Yes there is. (pretty basic functionality...)
Setup your strobe, configure it in FreeStyler, make a 1 step scene with dimmer and shutter values set as you wish, save the scene, add to button, configure the button as flash button and you can rock and roll. Also its possible to assign a keyboard key to that button.

The favourite key would effect all Dmx Channels, so if you have moving heads and other stuff running, its not a good idea. Furthermore the favourtite key is not a flash button. the best way to make a strobe hot key is to do as remco_k said.
