Hi,

Please post the manual or at least the DMX channel description of the fixture.
Also tell us what is not working.
(So actually make it easy for us, so we can make it easy for you)

Edit:
Google tells me its a scanner, so you would have to fill in the pan, tilt, color, shutter and gobo channels on the "Fixture config" tab.
Don't forget to fill in the proper number of channels there, as I think 4 is just not enough.

This is a cheap light, yes it is a scanner but with only four channels im not sure you can control pan and tilt. As for the manual thats my problem, I have yet to be able to find it. I have 6 of these lights all brand new none came with a manual. The only one I can find online is the one for the Instigator 2.0.
Any help at all would be great as I am at my wits end! Thank you.

Onge wrote: @remco_k - Sorry mate, plenty of 4 channel scanners on the market. Pan, Tilt, Colour and Gobo.
Indeed. I found the Insigator manual 2.0 earlier, that device has 6 channels, so I figured that 4 might be to less.

I looked somewhat further, and on 50% of the pages i find, it says that this is a 3 channel DMX fixture, the other 50% tals about a 4 channel DMX fixture. :?
So, what is it then?
On the Eliminator site says 4... So I assume 4.

Still, on this site:
http://www.shop.com/Eliminator+Lighting ... 5-p+.xhtml
It says:
DMX Channels: 3 * Gobos: 10 * Colors: 8 Colors + White Stand-Alone Operation (Sound Active): This mode allows a single unit to run to the beat of the music. Only use this mode when running a single unit or when running several units as individuals. Universal DMX Control: This unit allows you to use any universal DMX-512 controller to control mirror movement the color wheel the gobo wheel the shutter (strobe). A DMX controller allows you to create unique programs tailored to your individual needs. 1. The E 122 uses three DMX channels. Channel 1 controls pan channel 2 controls tilt channel 3 controls colors gobos.
Maybe this will get Jsin started using the "try-out" description Onge gives.

And after some lucky guess URL typing on the website of Eliminator, I found the manual:
http://www.eliminatorlighting.com/pdffiles/E%20122.pdf
SPECIFICATIONS:
Model: E 122
Lamp: ELC 24V/250W
Weight: 21lbs./ 9.5kgs.
Size: 45cm (H) x 24cm (W) x 28cm (D)
Fuse: 5 Amp
Supply Voltage: 120V
Working Position: Any Safe position
Duty Cycle: None
DMX Channels: 3
Gobos: 10
Colors: 8 Colors + White
Warranty: 180 Days
Only 180 days warranty? Crap... They even don't believe in their own stuff.
Universal DMX Control: This unit allows you to use any universal DMX-512 controller to control mirror
movement, the color wheel, the gobo wheel, and the shutter (strobe). A DMX controller allows you to create unique programs tailored to your individual needs.
1. The E 122™ uses three DMX channels. Channel 1 controls pan, channel 2 controls tilt, and chan- nel 3 controls colors and gobos.
2. To control your fixture in DMX mode, follow the set-up specifications that are included with your DMX controller.
3. Use the controller’s faders to control the various DMX fixture traits.
4. For longer cable runs (more than a 100 feet) use a terminator on the last fixture.
5. For help operating in DMX mode consult the manual included with your DMX controller.
And even now I am not convinced, the manual says: 3 channel DMX (pan/tilt/colors and gobo's).
But where is the promised shutter (strobe)?

Since the Eliminator website itself (http://www.eliminatorlighting.com/Produ ... 20Changers) says the device has 4 channels, I believe the DMX channel description is one of these:

Option 1:
Channel 1: Pan
Channel 2: Tilt
Channel 3: Color / Gobo
Channel 4: Shutter

-or-
Option 2:
Channel 1: Pan
Channel 2: Tilt
Channel 3: Shutter
Channel 4: Color / Gobo

I guess option 1. Jsinn, you should try that out.
And guys from Eliminator: Shame on you for having such a bad description of your device!
(And whats with the 180 days warranty?)

And ofcourse there's another problem. How to set the DMX address on the fixtures, as that is not described either in the manual.
It should be done with the dip switches... But since Dip 1 sets the master/slave operation, what one should set to set the device on DMX channel 1?
Or 2? ... Maybe there's an offet of 1. So setting only Dip 2 on, means the fixture is on DMX channel 1.

Thanks much. Especially for finding that manual. I dunno how you came up with that one.
Option one is promising. Thanks again.

Youre welcome.

It was just lucky guess URL typing. Looking at manual url of the E136 (Instigator 2.0) manual link wich was this:
www.eliminatorlighting.com/pdffiles/E%20136%202.0.pdf
I just tried other options, replaced the 136 for 122 and removed the space (%20) and the 2.0 at the end.
That leaves:
www.eliminatorlighting.com/pdffiles/E%20122.pdf
As I said; lucky guess.

I hope you manage to get a working fixture file, if so, please post the fixture file here:
