RGB Sound to Light...

Post by The Listener »

Why the fixed list of Sound to Light channels. I've got a bunch of simple 3 channel RGB devices I'd like to react to sound, but that doesn't seem possible. What I'm I missing? Some sort of Sound to Light config file? "Not possible" is a good answer so I'll stop looking at Freestyler. Suggestions? Thx.

The dmx 400 can use RGB fixtures and be controlled via sound to light.

Is there any 4-lights-on mode in DMX 400? With my RGB cans I would like to have just color changing.

Also I would like to have them fade to the new color.

yes you can have it in 4, 6, 8 or 12 channel mode.
Yes they can be all the same color or all different in the chase.
There are some great features in the dmx400 for rgb effects

Just play around with it a bit and you should work it out

Sorry, you did not get me.

If I select 4-Fixtures mode there are programs with 1,2 or 3 fixtures glowing. There is no program where all fixtures are glowing. (I don't want all fixtures to behave the same). Even more interesting seems to me, that e.g. in program 9 there is one fixture glowing when I set bg-fader to max and master-fader to min.

Next it seems, that the fadeing-fader only regards to the "dimmer". At least my RGB-LED fixtures always snap to the next color regardles of the fader position.

Any ideas?

I just filled a bug-report, but maybe I just know Freestyler not well enough.

DMX400 is only a basic 'chaser'. I would recommend not using it if you are a serious LJ.
Its always better to make your own work from scratch, that way it will always do what YOU want.

I hardly ever use the dmx400 and if I do its just to make shutter chases for moving heads etc on the fly.
