Hey there...
Untill now I was working with the LSC3000 program of GLP but now we're changing our software to a cheaper version ( because of the very expensive interface... ). So I heard of the freestyler but now I have some problems with creating new "shapes" and placing them as a shortcut on the screen as it is possible wit the LSC.
Does anyone know if it's possble to create your own shapes and if it's possible to make a shortcut button?
Thanks a lot for your help

Re: Shapes and so on
Hi Chris,
You can create your own shape macros in the pan/tilt window when you have a fixture selected.
When you have the pan/tilt window open, click 'view' (bottom left of the pan/tilt window) and edit your shape as you want it and click save.
If you want to hotkey certain fixtures to run on your new shape macro, create a new scene in transparent mode, and select the fixtures you want to assign your hotkey to and open the pan/tilt window for those fixtures and select your shape in the drop menu (rectangle by default i think) and click the red OFF button, then save your scene and checkbox add to cuelist when you save. In Freestyler Setup, External Controls, Keyboard Shortcuts> assign a hotkey to the sequence number in the cuelist (sequence 1 if you haven't saved anything to the cuelist yet) save and you should be good to go!
Hope this helped

Allright, thanks a lot. gonna try this tomorrow at work. So when I created this new scene and placed a keyboard shortcut, is it possible to change the color or gobo effect while this scene is running or does only the color and gobo work that I saved in the Cue?designtech wrote: Hope this helped

you can program all the lights with a gobo or particular gobo in just 1 scene then map it to an overide button i.e. select a light pick a gobo make sure everything else is set to 'off' not fade or snap then while the other sequence is running in the cue list select the gobo in the overide buttons then your light will change gobo without affecting the running sequence, make some more gobos or colours using single sequences then you have one movement running in the cue list and a whole bank of buttons changing the colours and gobos at the touch of a button...

Re: Shapes and so on
Hi Chris,
Thought i'd post another way to get to the same place...
Once you have your shape macro saved in a transparent sequence, you can overlay scenes of gobo chase, colour chase etc. Just create a new sequence in transparent mode and save each scene and make sure everything else is on OFF. When a channel is selected off and that sequence plays, everything that is OFF is just unaffected. So you can run as many sequences in multiselect mode if they are all transparent and only affect a certain aspect. This is exactly the same as the above, except instead of using override buttons, you can use the cue sheet and run chase sequences of gobos, colours, etc whilst running movement sequences.
Thanks
