Re: Dimmer does not blackout
Please upload a backup so we can investigate.
I think there may possibly be a bug with the intencity, which im currently looking into and will send a report to raph.
Although im not sure this relates to your problem as the blackout "should" just either turn off the lamp or close the shutter.
Dimmer settings are usually left as-is.
Matt
EDIT: bug report sent to Raph about the Intecity bug, i have also forwarded the request RCM sent to me about the intecity blackout feature.

Re: Dimmer does not blackout
not all fixtures will work with the blackout button im sure as all lights blackout in different ways - shutters - gobos - colours etc etc

Re: Dimmer does not blackout
Maybe Raph can add a blackout macro in the fixture creator.
I had some lights that required the shutter to be closed and the mirror be in the home position to turn the lamp off, so i just made a scene and assigned it to an override.
You could possibly try that as well.

Also check your fixture file for the unit. Try putting the Lamp Channel in the Shutter or Intensity Channel.

Re: Dimmer does not blackout
On hardware DMX consoles, the master blackout generally works by snapping all the configured channels to 0, this might be a good idea, at least as an option of the "blackout" command.

Re: Dimmer does not blackout
but that would stop the movements, and put the lighting into the home position.
So when they come out of blackout the have to move into the new position, gobo wheel has to spin/ colour wheel have to spin.
Producing undesired results.
You could always program the favorite scene to set your fixtures for special blackout/lampoff, or create a scene that does this and assign to a button etc.

Re: Dimmer does not blackout
Indeed. That's why it could be an option of the blackout command, it's not the best solution for sure, but for simple setups it could be fine.
