Control multiple Fixtures with just one Midi-Channel???

Post by Blade_Vampire »

Hi, i wonder if it's possible, in any way, to control 4 fixtures of the same kind (LED-PAR 64 Spots) with just one Midi-Channel?!
For example i want to control the 3 colorchannels by a keyboard, so that i can "play" the colors for all 4 fixtures at the same time. For one fixture it works fine, but i have no idea how to do this with 4 fixtures.
All fixtures running on different DMX-Adresses cause i also want to control the 4 LED-Spots via DMX400.

Is there any way to do that?

Thanks, Blade :fs:

and you only want to use one midi channel? i dont how to do that
if you use three it's possible:

1) make a cue with a transparent sequence that turn on red for all four fixtures
2) make a cue with a transparent that turn on green for all four fixtures
3) make a cue with a transparent that turn on blue for all four fixtures

4) open the submaster window and insert each cue in different submasters, example: 1, 2 and three
5) start the three submasters
6) now you can controll all four fixtures at same time, and mixing the color

if you find a better solution, let me know ;)

EDIT: you can also make serveal sequence with different colors in one cue, and the select the colors from keyboard shutcuts

Ive tried it but it don't work, i've created the cues und load them into the 3 submasters.
When I start the submasters, all 4 fixtures are instant on, I can't change anything, either the color nor the intensity.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. :?

[Have editted OP]

Same basic request but this time in Magic 3d Visualiser. I can't figure out how to patch multiple lights on to a single channel address. Needing to run pairs of Par56's but the visualiser will only allow one light per patch?

Help please if possible!
