Use the submaster level to control for Zoom

Post by Vincent1982 »

Hello,

I control Shehds 19x15w Moving head with Freestyler.
I use an AKAI APCMINI pad in midi to control the submaster level.
I control the dimmers of my devices perfectly but can we control the dmx level of the Zoom or for all sets of colors RGBW?
Because these fixtures have 3 RGBW color sets but only one RGBW set is only possible to be controlled via the midi control setup menu.

Thank you,
Regards,
Vincent

are you wanting to use the fader to control levels of zoom? There are a couple of ways but neither is Ideal. You can add the 19x15s to a group then midi program the fader to control "zoom" of all fixtures in a select group (I use the red buttons over the faders on the APC to select groups) or you can use "midi to DMX" and program a channel to a fader but then you need a fader for each "zoom" address. I have requested "group" options under midi control for years.
Good Luck
