Unofficial supported DMX interfaces
For FreeStyler there is a list of officially supported DMX interfaces. It can be found here.
Not all DMX interfaces that work in FreeStyler are in the list. Why? Because it is simply impossible to test (and implement) all 1 million DMX interfaces against FreeStyler.
Some people take a guess and just try their interface wich is not on the list. They just try to select another interface until its working. And sometimes that guess has success and you've found an unofficial supported interface that is working just fine.
So, that information should not be lost. The list is small, but here's a list that shows you all unsupported interfaces that seems to work with FreeStyler when you select some supported interface.
See this wikipage for the table: http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/f ... _interface
Don't be mad at us if this table is'nt correct somehow. Its just here for those who like to take a guess.
If you just have found an DMX interface which is not officially supported and still not in this unsupported list and its working fine with FreeStyler, please post it in this topic (or add it to the wikipage directly), together with what interface you have selected in FreeStyler and some remarks if needed.

Stupid me. Did'nt think of the wiki.
Good work jonny b good.
Still when someone finds another working interface, post it here if you don't know (or don't want ) how to update the wikipage.
I've edited my first post. It links to the wikipage now.

So if I read this correctly, the poster says the, Gus Electronics USB-VL344 works with free styler?
Does anyone have this or has anyone tested this device?

Re: Unofficial supported DMX interfaces
Thats what that list means, yes. Its an interface that seems to work according to someone named DJC.Trisant wrote:So if I read this correctly, the poster says the, Gus Electronics USB-VL344 works with free styler?
So you can assume that DJC has got that tested and running. Otherwise there would be no reason to add the interface to the list.

Re: Unofficial supported DMX interfaces
Hello
Personally I use the Enntec DMX Pro, and don't have a "MyDMX" so I'm not sure this response will apply. But, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to use more than one "scene" at a time. That's what cues and submasters are for...specifically so you can use multiple squences/scenes at a time. I recommend you read up on them in the Wiki.

Peace and good luck!

Re: Unofficial supported DMX interfaces
I think he's talking about the American DJ MyDMX software that he's using as not functioning the way he needs, and is wondering if the MyDMX interface will work with Freestyler so he can get the feature set of it instead of being forced to use the American DJ software...

I had to uninstall MyDMX Software then selected the 2006 sunlite interface and since then freestyler has worked loke a charm everytime, Hope this helps!!!"

Re: Unofficial supported DMX interfaces
Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie here and also to DMX software.
I have some generic Chinese 7ch LED PAR lights and a Chauvet Obey40 hardware controller that works fine.
So I thought I'd try software and I bought a SUSHI-DS USB adapter. Having a search on here it seems that it's not supported. However, Support Website for the SUSHI-DS has an option to install an update to the dongle for FreeStyler which I've installed. Problem now is I don't know which interface to specify in FreeStyler to make it work.
Any ideas anyone? and is it supported or not?
Thanks in advance

Re: Unofficial supported DMX interfaces
Any un-listed dmx devices may use the Enttec OPEN DMX, open source drivers or the pro version so if anyone has the same issue as above by Snowyslopes always try that first
