The basics of Macros?

Post by marklyon »

Right then!

I've been reading the information on creating fixtures and have had read about using Macros so before I go and try this - am I on the right track?
In it's most basic form I've created a fixture for a laser and added the information as per a few tutorials - most importantly the number of channels which is 9.
If I create a macro with channel 1 set to 110 and channel 2 set to 202, and channel 6 set to 105 I should get a Wave Flowing Pattern, that is playing at a medium speed? Am I right, or would I need to set channel 8 & 9 too?

I've attached an image of the page here:

Hi marklyon,

Looking at those instructions I would assume you would have to set channel 8 to the colour you want and most probably channels 5,6,7 unless they have default settings.
Channel 9 not sure what that does. I think what it does is break the pattern into segments so each segment gets a colour depending what value is in channel 8.

You would have tio experiment with channels 8 and 9 to see wht results you get.

Hope tha helps,
