Using the popular Freestyler Program installed on your PC you can create powerful synchronized lighting shows, whether you are designing light shows for bands, discos, clubs, or full theatre scenes Freestyler is geared up to make any production easy and cheaply.

This app extends Freestyler by giving you remote access to the common Freestyler actions.

Heres a quick list of what it can do.

Auto Connection No IP address required, Locates, and Connects to Freestyler Automatically. No External Server Needed.

Connect PC/Laptop to Android device via WiFi or HOTSPOT

Implemented Features:
Fixture Control - Pan/Tilt, Colour, Attributes, And Individual fixture selection.
Submasters - Full sub-master support (20) with Go, Back, RUN and Stop
Sequence Playback: 20 Cue Toggle Buttons, with speed controls.
Six pages of 32 Override Buttons
MDX Faders (24 direct access to DMX) configure within FS MIDI2DMX
MasterFader / Locate / Fog Machine Control
Auto-connect on both WIFI and Hotspot
Fetch Fixture Patch List
Supports dual ports for connection with VirtualDJ
Six pages of 16 playlist buttons, with speed control and tap sync (long press to release).

Looks great!
But i bought the previous version last year too in hope to support development but i see that that one is discontinued and that i have to buy this version now.
That's not really fair to the people who allready bought the app i think.
What is the reason that this is a complete new program and not an update for the old version?

Hi Thanks for your support,

This is a new app built from the ground up, taking me many hours to complete and not just a small update.
Updates will always be free, however from time to time new major rewrites are required (such as this, it first started life in 2013, a lot has changed since) and will be released as a new app, I feel the price is fair and hope you agree.

I still think it's a bit sad for the ones who paid for the previous version but i do understand making an app like this takes up a lot of time and i do want to support development.
And maybe i was overreacting a bit too, it is only €2 after all and it does look very good so i just bought the new version.
Also joined the Beta program

I like the app so far and it allready works better than the previous Freestyler app and i can't wait to see the upcoming additions to the app.

I do have a suggestion too, maybe you can add support for external IP's too?
Even though i use Freestyler at home i don't use wifi a lot plus that way i can turn on my lights even when i'm not at home.

you could do password security. So who has this app on my mobile so that I can't control the lights only if the password entered by me in the FS and in the app matches

Freestyler does not currently support password authentication,
If the developer of Freestyler add this then I could add it to my app.

With that being said, the encryption / password on your WiFi should be enough to prevent any unathorised user from accessing FS, Running FS on a separate WiFi router if nessessary.

I have the app on my phone and recently updated to version 3.6.50, but I cannot connect to the app.
It always shows:
Unable to connect!
Freestyler not found!

I turn off Mobile data, but nothing.

Help?

Did you open a port on your router (Port 3332 of 3333)

Any updates? I'm really curious about the improvements so far.
Would like a "fade in "button too by the way,
dedicated strobe button would be nice too.

Fade in button is implemented in the last update.
Freestyler doesn't have a dedicated strobe button, so I can't implement this at present, although you can do this through overrides.
