Help with DMX interface and Freestyler

Hello everyone,

first of all i would like to say thanks for this wonderful software!
I'm new into lighting entertainment, and also on this forum. I found some site online that teaches how to make USB dongle using FDTI protocol and i successfully made it to work with Freestyler.

Few weeks ago i ordered a DMX doongle from highlite.com and i cant make it to work with Freestyler. I tried changing port, changing manufacturer in setup but nothing.

I was hoping that someone on this forum could help me to setup this device with Freestyler. This is the device: https://www.highlite.com/en/50051-quick-dmx-d512.html

If you have tried all of the supported interfaces then I suggest you follow the link to The Bug Tracker and open a request to modify Freestyler to support your interface. If you need this to work in the near future you will need to obtain one of the supported interfaces.

Honestly, it took me about 10 seconds to read this in the end of the page:

Please note that Quick DMX USB dongle only works with Quick DMX software.

So I am sorry to say that it probably will not work with FS.

I keep running on 2 cheap uDMX dongles from aliexpress and they work like a charm. Use them in combination with aliexpress Wifi DMX sticks and speed is impressive. Cheap but good.
